Database importing - duplicate items #59

For those bulk importing say from "BeerSmith" when importing hops or other 
database items of the same name it creates another version of the item instead 
of overwriting?, or should it ask if you what you want to do about dupes?

When the program is out of Beta how will the database items be handled? 

I notice a very good amount of fermentables as part of the imported default 
data, but some of the other areas feel lacking,mostly hops. I can see the app 
being used by some for only on brew day quick access/notes, and others use it 
for a more full brewing/recipe app.

For those not importing there own data and using the base defaults, we may want 
to add more to the database?

Also a description field for the hops/grains can be very handy..

I would think that ideally it should ask you if you want to create a new copy 
or update the existing one.

I don't know what you're asking here.  Do you mean "will you have to re-import 
the data when you start using the release version?"

I will be happy to include any user contributed data with the defaults.  See

Looks like the "notes" field didn't make it on to the layout.  Created new
