We need to write test suites of amplifier codes, namely Axoclamp 900A and Multiclamp 700B. There could be different types of tests:

  1. Testing interface functionality, for example by sending a command (eg set a parameter) and then checking that it has been correctly set (by reading the parameter), without raising errors.
  2. Testing responses to pulses on the model cell; checking that they give what is expected given the specifications.
  3. Measuring noise and hum (50 hz interference).
