[RuleBook] - Width of the door passageway

• Question : What's the width of the passageway through the door? The door guiderails seem to extend into the passageway, reducing the width of the passageway from 225mm as dimensioned in the pdf down to 170mm. Can you please confirm? Providing us with the 3D model of the arena would also work

I estimated the door width using CAD. If it's actually 170mm, I would suggest increasing it to at least 200mm if possible. Because, even a Turtlebot with 178mm width wont be able to pass through the door

Very good remark, the current opening dimension of the door is not correctly specified.

Taking your suggestion, we decided to build the door and field in such a way to guarantee an opening of at least 200mm for each door position.

Sir please give us confirmation of the finalized door width and width of the passageway and possibly a field plan as we have to make modifications accordingly. If possible can it be more than 200mm as the current entrance width is too restrictive. We have made considerable progress with the design and the current constraints mean that we have to make a lot of modifications which is not possible within this given time frame .

After discussion with the team responsible for the construction of the field, I can confirm the following information : The door and walls will be build in a way to ensure a passageway of 225mm.

The flanges represented on the drawing will be part of the mobile door and as such will be removed for the opened door.
