QuietHDD has exited after wakeup #8

What steps will reproduce the problem?
I am using Windows 7 64 Home Premium on an ASUS UL30VT-A1. I have task manager
set to run QuietHDD at startup, whether the user is logged in or not, no stored
password, using /NOTRAY. QuietHDD does start on system startup and is
effective. One other reason I use task manager is to bypass the UAC prompt for
QuietHDD that otherwise can't be automatically bypassed without disabling UAC
because QuietHDD is not digitally signed with a certificate from a trusted CA.

If I put the system to sleep QuietHDD seems to stay running (I've tried a
handful of times). If I wait for the system to go to sleep per power management
settings when I wake it QuietHDD is no longer running and the desired APM
setting is no longer in effect. I can't tell what caused it to exit, there are
no error windows.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Build 250 Win 7 64.

Event log is not showing any application failures either, I would guess some
error condition must be hit in the QuietHDD code and it exits on its own.

I assume you are speaking about "Task Scheduler"?

If so, please go to your scheduled task, then "Settings" tab and please check
that there is no tick at "Stop the task if it runs longer than" option. This
option is set by default when you create a new task.I would expect that this is
the reason quietHDD quits.

Joern,

Yes I am speaking of "Task Scheduler" and all such options are disabled.
QuietHDD will run perfectly fine without stopping until the system resumes from
standby and then frequently it will no longer be running.

Does this happen only when it is started from Task Scheduler?
When I manually start quietHDD suspend/resume works fine here (Win7/64)

Please give me detailed information on how you set up the task so that I'm able
to reproduce

I too am having this problem whre quietHDD does not resume after
sleep/hibernate. I typically start the program off of a desktop shortcut. I
set a command to run at startup - doesn't seem to work though. I can't find it
in task scheduler. I see above that the issue wasn;t fully explained to the
other individual having this issue. I am running Win7/64.
