Python 2.7 does not work properly with py-clips debian package ...

A workaround is downgrading to python 2.6, but a better solution is needed in 
the long term ...

Instructions have been updated for Python 2.7 users so they can manually 
install the PyClips package using the source distribution. The process is very 
easy and takes little to no time. Further information can be found at 
InstruccionesInstalacion page of the wiki.
