spacing between Δφ #54

Example

\begin{gather}
\Delta\varphi\\
\Delta{}\varphi
\end{gather}

In Chrome the two lines are the same. In Firefox, the two lines are different: (1) has extra spacing, and (2) doesn’t.

I believe this is a Firefox problem, not a Temml problem. I don't plan to take any further action on this issue.
