Serving DNS Certificates with Direct RI 2.0

I've been able to get DirectDNSSercer to serve certificates on 1.3 but not on 
2.0.  

I can do this no problem: 

    dig direct.microphr.com

It gives me back the right IP.

When I try and fetch a CERT

    dig alan.direct.microphr.com CERT

dig hangs and finally reports.

; <<>> DiG 9.8.1-P1 <<>> alan.direct.microphr.com CERT
;; global options: +cmd
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached

I'm expecting the CERT to be in the dig output.

Has anyone else encountered this problem?  Perhaps it is a configuration issue. 
 I've double checked everything and cannot find any differences in 1.3. 1.4.

I'm running Direct TI 2.0 using OpenJDK7 on Ubuntu 12 - 64bit.

This was fixed by opening up port 53 TCP inbound.  This can be closed.
