a extra user account is added to the notification account without consent #330

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. connect using my gmail account as the notification account
2. let the app run (usually takes ~5 minutes to occur, just clicking through
menus, sending commands, etc)

What is the expected output?
on the connection screen i should only my gmail account as the notification
account, and only the account that i entered as the notification account upon
connecting should be receiving my notifications

What do you see instead?
i see my gmail account and another gmail account, who is also receiving my
notications. it is a seemingly random (but consistently the same) gmail account
that is on my gmail buddy list. it looks like this: myaccount@gmail.com |
otheraccount@gmail.com. again, when i initially set up the accounts i only put
my account there. if i disconnect and remove the other account it will
eventually reappear after the app has run for a bit

Additional informations:
Phone model: HTC Desire running android version 2.3.7, CyanogenMod-7.2.0-ace
with cyanogenmod kernel 2.6.35.14

I have experienced this also, on my Nexus 4. I think this occurs if you view
the 'Buddies' screen in the gTalkSMS app.

I resolved by removing all other buddies from the google account (i.e., I now
use a google user exclusively for gtalk sms and it has no other buddies but me.

A very worrying issue though, as for a time all my text messages were getting
sent to a bunch of my friends. Major security breach!

Hello,
Did you click on stars in the buddy panel ? It's the other way to add notified
address.
For security matter, we advise you to create a new xmpp account for GTalkSMS
only.
