Update for those that may encounter the same scenario. After multiple tests and researching around, found out it has nothing to do with the jailbreak or anything. Twitch had some severe issues with their newer app versions (17+) and iOS older than 16.4. Updating the app won't help you and apparently this issue was fixed with iOS 16.4. Because I was on iOS 16.2, I started having the overheating issue because I installed TwitchAdBlock app through TrollStore that was version 17.3, and I was previously running the normal appstore app version 15.5, which didn't have the overheating issue.
If you are stuck on lower iOS than 16.4 and watch Twitch in pip, my recommendation is to download the TwitchAdBlock app version 15 from github through TrollStore. You don't have to update your iOS, you keep the jailbreak active, pip mode without overheating and the best thing, no ads.
Device Model
iPhone 14 Pro Max, A16
iOS Version
16.2
Bootstrap Version
1.1
Serotonin Version
1.2.1
What happened?
I have gone through "remove jailbreak" option on Serotonin to make sure it wasn't the jailbreak causing the issue. I turned the phone off and on to make sure no tweaks were being used and causing the issue either. I have tried different app version, including the latest one for Twitch to make sure it wasn't the app itself. When I exit and have the stream playing in picture in picture mode (pip), the phone overheats insanely quickly to the point the screen auto dims after less than 2 minutes to prevent further damage. Only happens in pip mode for some reason.
