The License slug should be a short common identifier for the license the plugin is under and is meant to be a simple way of being explicit about the license of the code.
from https://codex.wordpress.org/Writing_a_Plugin
did a quick look at the repos for the top 5 wordpress.org plugins - only one has a license file. i don't think we need to add another file to the repo for this.
Fair enough. I wasn't sure.
dunno why i didn't just add a license file when you brought this up almost a year ago. added it now.
lol i forgot i made this.
i was so polite too, prefacing my post with "plz dont b mad." not anymore. now i'm a complete jerk.
I don't mean to be obnoxious or anything. I acknowledge that you release your work out of the kindness of your heart and all that jazz, so please don't take this the wrong way.
For the sake of legal clarification, I think you should include a
license.txt
orlicense.md
file. I know your current PHP file says that it's "MIT" licensed and has a URI to the license terms, but that can be misinterpreted to mean that only the PHP file is licensed. Alicense.txt
file seems like it would be more concrete.
