Looks pretty good, but there is a intermediate page to agree to a license.

e.g., on this page http://sbc.lternet.edu/cgi-bin/showDataset.cgi?docid=knb-lter-sbc.18&displaymodule=entity&entitytype=dataTable&entityindex=1 if you click on the yellow Download data button, you get http://sbc.lternet.edu/cgi-bin/data-use-agreement.cgi - with some forms to fill out. Perhaps we can do this using rcurl...
