Who is the audience?

Who might want to know this? What other groups or organizations might be interested?

Why is this important?

This is not an easy issue to address, so here's an opportunity to learn from the experiences of other organizations and the people who have done the work.

From announcement of The Carpentries Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Roadmap

Creating an environment where contributors have access to the tools they need, and feel included in the open science/open data community is imperative. This is where equity, inclusion, and accessibility come together.

What should be covered?

Suggested speakers or contributors

Resources you would recommend to the audience

Talk by Heather Turner @hturner for R #celebration2020 "Moving Forwards: Greater Equity and Inclusion in the R Community" would make a great complement to this topic. We'd change the title of the Community Call to be more general.

Heather's slides with lots of useful links: http://heatherturner.net/talks/celebration2020
