@amoeba wow you're quick! This looks good to me. Shall I go ahead & merge?

(p.s. the suggested dependency, taxadb, recently posted to CRAN so should be available on appveyor soon. though why appveyor cannot install from Additional_repositories like everyone else I dunno. Perhaps time we add github actions here.
