Yes, I'm not going to be ready for testing the new query API for several weeks. We've been moving ahead with the API for getting data on individual records (see: https://github.com/ekansa/open-context-py/tree/master/json-ld-examples).

The new query API will also be GeoJSON-LD, but will also have lots more data describing search facets, facet counts, and paging. It will also expose links to query numeric range queries.
