You need FFmpeg (>= 3.2), see package DESCRIPTION.
FYI, the ffmpeg-devel
packages from rpmfusion does work on CentOS 7.
I just tried this on a docker image with CentOS 7, enabling the EPEL and rpmfusion repositories, and then just installed ffmpeg-devel
. It installed ffmpeg version 3.4.7 which works perfectly with av.
Yes, Thanks. It works now. Upgrading was not trivial - after upgrading ffmpeg-devel I was still stuck with v2 of ffmpeg-libs so I had to explicitly remove and update ffmpeg-libs
too.
installation in R 3.5.3 of av fails. I installed ffmpeg and ffmpeg-devel on centos 7 as below and then followed the instructions of specifying LIB_DIR and INCLUDE_DIR for installing av.
