Refactor and deprecate `recordDerivation()` #68

The method recordDerivation() has overlapping functionality with insertDerivation(), with the latter method providing additional functionality. Mark recordDerivation() as deprecated (for removal in a future package version), and refactor it to call insertDerivation().
