This is actually a problem with the idea of default chronologies in Neotoma and the API return. Neotoma has a default chronology for each time-scale. So a record may have a default chronology for both radiocarbon years BP and for calibrated radiocarbon years. This has been raised in https://github.com/NeotomaDB/Neotoma-API/issues/11 and can't be resolved locally in the neotoma package until the API is fixed.
