@scott seems to be installing now, though tests fail once the package installs I think(?)

That's what I did have before (https://github.com/ropensci/nodbi/blob/df92a67ba8c36521573afe20c57fd70e4d1f7e49/.travis.yml) but wasn't working, it installs fine but then redux doesn't recognize it perhaps. But it does work fine on osx at least, so platform sensitive C lib problem?
