Hi all, like many others I am unable to install RQDA, thus I am following qcoder with interest. However the last commit was in October, has the project stalled/been abandoned? It would be a pity if so.

hi we are using qcoder also here in the lab, in interaction with cogmapr, another package, I have forked the project at a certain stage, I am interest to collaborate for keeping this package living but have only little time now

@FrdVnW Great news! Do you have a github page with it?I am no dev but am interested in qualitative analysis and testing:)

Hi,

Yes we're still working on this, probably more new code in the summer once the semeter is over! Let me know how it goes.

WPFilmmaker commented 4 years ago

@elinw i am glad the project is not dead. I am looking forward to see new activity :)

Dear qcoder team, your project functionality, specifically making qualitative code available in R is important but activity here has been low, maybe because the task of creating a functional qualitative coding interface and R interoperability is a huge task.

To ensure that your important work enables utilising qualitative coding in R, please consider contributing this functionality to QualCoder, a FLOSS qualitative coding solution that already offers a superset of RQDA functionality - albeit without the R interoperability: https://github.com/ccbogel/QualCoder/issues/182

Qualcoder allows for the coding of text, images, audio or video, it imports RQDA files and exports the qualitative coding interchange format REFI. This means it already integrates a lot of teh functionality you and many users here have mentioned they hope qcoder could implement. R interoperability is a key functionality you are best placed to contribute.
