We need to preserve "Polytechnic University of Bucharest" as an alias, as there is extensive affiliation usage that makes use of this form that is clearly referring to https://ror.org/0558j5q12 (e.g. https://pdfs.semanticscholar.org/e571/c56f0325a08205a584e33707ff2efc69cd4d.pdf).
