Affiliation usage is limited, two authors using on publication, with some more extensive reference in ORCID stemming from organization's guest lecture and mentoring activities. Has secondary references in technical reports by staff at Los Alamos National Laboratory (e.g. https://www.osti.gov/servlets/purl/2352688). Nonprofit status appears to be inherited through relationship to the Software Freedom Conservancy vs. directly. This may be fine to add, but I'd appreciate a second review.

I don't think we need to make too much out of the fiscal sponsorship relationship between a 501c3 org and another org it sponsors. Those relationships can be pretty loose.

That said, I'm still unsure whether they're in scope. The organization seems well-established, and independent, but its focus is primarily on education and mentorship of high school aged students. It could be argued that they're supporting researchers in the broadest possible sense, but significant affiliation usage seems unlikely.
