To identify affiliations for research publications, To identify affiliations for datasets, To acknowledge research funders, To acknowledge a research facility, To link Instrument and Facility PIDs

Other information about this request: PARADIM is a user facility established with National Science Foundation funding as a "platform" meaning it has both instruments and expertise offered to users. It has physical laboratories at both Cornell University and Johns Hopkins University with staff and leadership at both locations. PARADIM is identified in publications and published datasets and will be identified in instrument PIDs in the near future so a ROR will offer a way to uniformly cite the facility and interoperate with the Datacite DOIs we mint for datasets and other common identifier systems.

Multiparent, NSF sponsored research facility. Funds and employs researchers. Solid affiliation usage. Should be added. We won't be able to support multiple locations until the release of schema v2.0, so indexing with Cornell location address for now and will update later.

davidelbert commented 12 months ago

Thanks. Adam. I'll try to track schema v2.0 developments and look forward to the multiple location option. Hopefully that switch will come soon and our applications won't see any bumps. We're excited to be adding a ROR!

adambuttrick commented 12 months ago

@davidelbert We're excited you're excited! Our current schedule has the schema v2.0 release as Q1 of 2024. If you'd like to try it out with your applications, we're currently running a beta test as well.
