Originally, the "NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment" (DPIE) was renamed "NSW Department of Planning and Environment" (DPE).

Now, it has been restructured into two new Departments. 1) NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) 2) NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure (DPHI)

Ideally, the ROR would be split into the two new departments. Both records would list the previous names (and acronyms). E.g.

• NSW Department of Planning and Environment
• DPE
• NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment
• DPIE
