University departments, schools, and faculties are out of scope for ROR.

Could you please, review this decision for the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences? I understand that departments of the universities are not eligible for RORs, but Faculties within the University of Zagreb are actually separate organisations, with legal and financial independence. We are, for instance, eligible for project applications in the Horizon Europe framework as a separate entity (so, we need to be able to track projects and outputs related to our Faculty, not the University as a whole). Plus, there are already some Faculties in the same University that have their own separate RORs (https://ror.org/00j5kgp20 & https://ror.org/04e90ca47). Thanks!

@ivamz Yes, we are happy to reassess. Could you provide additional documentation about the status of faculties as independent legal entities, relative to the university structure?

@ivamz Just whatever official documents or other forms of reference (e.g. entries in national-level registries) that describes them as independent legal entities.

Ok, there is the Registry of Croatian research institutions (https://www.croris.hr/upisnici/), that differentiates between two types of universities. One type ("integrated" universities) has sub-entities " with no Legal Entity Status" (example: https://www.croris.hr/ustanove/ustanova/5531?lang=en). The other type ("disintegrated", like the University of Zagreb) is an umbrella organisation for "Constituent Legal Entities" like our Faculty: https://www.croris.hr/ustanove/ustanova/90. Those Constituent legal entities can themselves have sub-entities (without legal entity status). Hope it helps. Not everything in the Registry is perfectly translated to English, I'm sorry.
