Hmm that's strange, it's working fine for me using a fresh install of MODx and the latest ElementHelper. Maybe try removing the package and reinstalling it? If that doesn't work try replacing lines 174 - 176 with:
$modx->cacheManager->refresh();
and let me know what happens

Hi,
I just installed the new version of ElementHelper on a new site. I just noticed that I have to clear the cache manually each time I save a static file via FTP/Text Editor...this wasn't the case with the "old" version and kind of makes it not as nice to work with bc you always have to go into the manager and clear the cache.
