Style issues #2

Several small style issues that should be painless and quick to review. Also a tiny bugfix

Cleanup looks reasonable. I guess switching to the print function makes sense, though I'm not sure we're moving to Python 3.0 anytime soon. Adding spaces, licenses, cleaning up some code, all good.
