After solving the ignition-transport issue with using upstream libpgm-git
package instead of libpgm
for the dependency of zeromq and subsequently ignition-transport
, the next issue faced was failure during the installation of ros-melodic-gazebo-plugins
. This was resolved by an update/fix in the ogre-1.9
PKGBUILD. This package now successfully installs. The entire package along with its dependencies!
The only think to keep in mind is to install libpgm-git
before starting the installation of ros-melodic-desktop-full
so that you don't use the libpgm
that breaks ignition-transport
. Also some packages like pcl
take a long time, so I would recommend installing the dependencies of this package i.e. ros-melodic-desktop
, ros-melodic-perception
, ros-melodic-simulators
, individually.
Just putting this comment here to track that this package breaks. As of posting, this package specifically breaks when trying to build
ignition-transport
, it is flagged outdated on the AUR.
