segfault running rviz #1291

If I try to run rviz on its own as

mavs@febbo-HP-ZBook-17-G2:~$ rosrun rviz rviz -l

Then the rviz window pops up for a second and disappears and I get these messages (and a segfault)

I am actually running a Docker image based off of https://github.com/JuliaMPC/MAVs/blob/master/docker/Dockerfile

and this was working about 3 months ago.

I tried: 1: I tested my OpenGL as per https://stackoverflow.com/questions/37627489/rviz-segmentation-fault-core-dumped and it is working as expected
