Currently rviz is showing ros laser message with only end points. There should be an option to display complete ray. (http://playerstage.sourceforge.net/images/stage-2.0.0a.1.png)

Thanks for the suggestion, we'll keep it here on the list but mark it as untargeted since no one has time to implement it at this point.
