In short, it's because the dependencies aren't available. If you look at https://build.ros2.org/job/Rbin_ujv8_uJv8__velodyne_simulator__ubuntu_jammy_arm64__binary/ , you'll see that the upstream projects velodyne_description
and velodyne_gazebo_plugins
aren't available. If you look at https://build.ros2.org/job/Rbin_ujv8_uJv8__velodyne_description__ubuntu_jammy_arm64__binary/ , you'll see that gazebo_ros
is failing to build. If you look at https://build.ros2.org/job/Rbin_ujv8_uJv8__gazebo_ros__ubuntu_jammy_arm64__binary/13/console , you'll see that it is failing to build since gazebo
and libgazebo-dev
don't seem to be available on Ubuntu Jammy. I'm not quite sure what the solution is, but pinging @chapulina for any insights.
Thank you for your prompt response! I roughly understand the situation. Please let me know if there is anything that I can contribute.
I believe we haven't released Gazebo classic upstream for arm64, see
It seems the packages in the
velodyne_simulator
repository aren't released to arm64 on Humble/Rolling.For details, please refer to https://answers.ros.org/question/401274/why-velodyne_description-isnt-released-for-arm64/.
Does anyone know the reason and solution?
