+1 facing the same issue. And Yes this issue is caused by the CSS
This is on my radar and I'm playing around with some different styles to revamp the theme as a whole
Unfortunately I don't have the most time to finish this but here's a gist of what I started: https://gist.github.com/mvllow/49443238fda23de0a31f11f412dbe104
If someone would like to take that and run with it feel free, otherwise I will still try to finish it up at some point :)

The omnibar looks good. I think just copy over the existing styling of links and the search bar and it will be good. Afraid I don't have much time on my hands myself but hopefully it won't take too long to copy over the non omnibar styling
I'd just like to note that I have fixed the issue
line 68:
.top {
color: #e0def4;
width: 30rem;
}
just remove the width value
Whenever I use my Omnibar, it looks like this. When I remove the custom css the Omnibar works as expected, so it is the CSS causing this. Any idea how to fix?
