I tested this with my Taranis and the SIL Gazebo Simulation. Have not tested with XBox or RealFlight.
I wasn't really sure what you were going for with the "mapping" dictionary, but it wasn't ever used anywhere so I removed it. Also your if/else statement in the while loop didn't make sense what it was trying to do
