Add additional Stemma socket #5

grove

How much of a nightmare would it be to add an additional grove socket in that top left position? We don't need it for our use case, but might make the board more useful generally.

Obviously the UEXT would need to be shifted down to accomodate.

I think the pull-ups could easily be moved to make space. They can go under the dev-kit board, for example.

Note that I just heard back from PCBWay that the Grove connectors are sold out.

Great, let's see if @ShouravSarkar has any enthusiasm to do it.

Presumably, we could design it into the board, but leave it unpopulated in a first run?

ShouravSarkar commented 2 years ago

ok can you tell me what to update in a single details?

Had a change of plan on this one.

Please include a Stemma socket instead of a grove or qwiic.

stemma

https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/pcb-headers/8201507 part number S4B-PH-K-S Connected as Stemma @3volt https://www.tomshardware.com/features/stemma-vs-qwiic-vs-grove-connectors to give compatibility with Qwiic.

If you need to move pull-ups/ resistors Please put them under the dev-kit board, in the region of pins 12-27
