It seems like between this morning and now something has changed.
This morning I set this up fresh and everything worked. Now something has seemingly changed. I've removed a device to re-add and I get this:
I'm having similar issues as of yesterday as well. I successfully initialized about 10 devices earlier in the day but then noticed they weren't being added to my device list anymore. Restarted HA after which my API creds were wiped and auto-discovery suddenly stopped working even after re-loading API creds. Manual initialization of new devices ceased to operate as well.
EDIT: I have managed to obtain the local key and all needed data to add a device manually and now i get the following error:
Could you please share the information on how to obtain that? Tuya kicked me out of my trial subscription. Wonder why since it was working until I stumbled upon and deployed local tuya with my account.

On 2 Feb, my Tuya web connection stopped working and I had to renew my 6 month "trial". Not sure if that caused your issue or not.
I got LocalTuya set up today and my auto discovery isn't working either. I have a total of 31 on the API and only 1 is auto discovered and I can't configure that one.
Any idea how to get the device IP for local devices, i have managed to add one of mine by it being auto detected proving that the method for local key works, but as i have allot of Ip devices how do i identify these on my network. Can i for instance get the device ip or mac from the JSON on the IOT platform
Connection to device succeeded but no datapoints found, please try again. Create a new issue and include debug logs if problem persists.
same problem here with the Eightree Smart Plugs
Grump Whale

Log into your router and look through wifi devices. If you have many, try turning the device off for 15 min or maybe longer and then sort the list of devices by time connected. It should be at or near the top
Need fork with protocol 3.5. https://github.com/xZetsubou/hass-localtuya

thank you!
After successful configuration and connection to the Cloud API, the devices are not discovered - even though they appear on the Tuya website and i switched the phone off so the app does not interfere as suggested.
Adding devices manually requires a "local key" but the documentation does not mention on how to obtain it only says that "you need to find it yourself.

EDIT2: Above problem solved by adding manual DPS of 1
But still none of that is in documentation and i solved everything by googling, auto discovery still doesn't work
