Since the beginning, this server's goal has been to provide a fun, casual, and positive Minecraft RPG experience (the proof's in the pudding right here: http://entropolis.co/home/m/7937314/article/1004663/page/4). Of course, as with all ambitious ideas, iterations have been made to remove, add, and enhance features and aspects planned for the server so long ago.
In my many Internet explorations, I came across an interesting money plugin for Minecraft server called Gringotts (http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/gringotts/). This provides for a more realistic RPG experience by using actual materials as currency. Imagine needing to provide protection for a transport of emeralds from one town to the next. That would certainly add some excitement!
For those that might be concerned with possible inconveniences, don't fret; all of the old functionality is still available. In fact, it wouldn't even be necessary to carry the items at all; you would just make a chest your "vault," store your items, and be able to use /pay and buy and sell from NPCs as you would normally.
This would be a very interesting feature to look further into, and fits in line with the general goals of the Framework Milestone.
