What to do with articles without DOIs? #2

Many articles e.g. older Zootaxa articles & older Acta Palaeontologia Polonica articles do not have DOIs.

How do we get the publication year for each? (For a nice figure, showing NHMUK specimen mentions over the last ~16 years) I guess it'll have to be manually added. Easy to do for Zootaxa as it's already pre-sorted into publication year but I'll have to do this manually for APP articles.

If we want to do further analyses on authors, e.g. is/was the author an NHMUK staff member at the time of publication, the lack of DOIs at Zootaxa is really going to hamper this :( I guess we'll have to grok that another way e.g. by searching for "Cromwell Road" in the institutional affiliations for each paper. I wish all papers had DOIs!
