It would be nice to have better support for custom variable fonts. Currently I've just overridden the nano-* faces, but currently nano-strong is given normal weight directly and I'd like to be able to manipulate that

You can disable nano-fonts-use and set the weight as you want, no? You would prefer to have a menu to set it? I'm opne to any suggestions.

Sorry for delay. Did you solve your problem in the end? Or do you have suggestions on what to add to the customization?
