Try closing Alliance completely, switching to open and connecting.
If this doesn't work, try uninstalling/reinstalling.
Please let me know how it works out.

Tried restarting alliance on wolfienet open, tried uninstalling and then
re-installing alliance, no dice. When I run alliance now and I try to connect
to people using the codes on sbushare.com, it tells me "Alliance port not
open". My firewall is down and I didn't change any setting since alliance was
working last time. I attached the message that I'm getting, and I also checked
the LAN option that it suggests, but that was already checked and didn't fix
anything.

Also, try checking the "skip port check" option under network.

I checked the skip port check, and the above ^error message goes away but it
still says that my friend is offline when I try to put in the codes from
sbushare.com. will it work if you add me? I'll leave it running at least until
9am (10/24)

I'll give it an attempt.
Where specifically are you trying to connect from?

I deleted that as to keep your personal information private.
You're in Tabler then? I've been getting a lot of reports of issues from Tabler.
I'll look into it, check back here for updates.
(Also, try changing your port number around, to like 8344 or something random)
