Pull-down selection for display of folders with all/new/unread mail #5032

This is the main facility I miss from Thunderbird - it is very useful when you have hundreds of folders that are populated by new mails from things like Maildrop but you don't need to see folders with no unread mail.

Same for me, same use-case... lots of folders, server-side sorted. There is a pull-down for the messages, something similar for folders would be excellent.

Well I posted this request getting on for nine years ago . . is it likely it will every get looked at?

It seems to me that the code for filtering messages and creating the button etc could be copied and edited for the folders stuff? If I was prepared to have a look at it, could someone give me advice? Is there likely to be any major issue with trying to implement this feature?
