Direct Webmail Login not recognizing account #7680

Closed hgirling closed 3 years ago

hgirling commented 3 years ago

The universal webmail login page is not allowing users to login to their existing accounts. Only the specific hosting webmail allows for login. Is this a security function? Is the direct webmail page broken? or exclusively used for other reasons, if this is the response then a message should be included on this page to avoid confusion.

This is the page I am referring to: https://emailmg.ipage.com/roundcube/?_task=login

If this page is not functioning correctly, please let us know and maybe we could help. Having a generic webmail login page is ideal for this tool.

Thank you,

I'm sorry but this is not the right place to ask. We don't host your e-mails and we're not responsible for the system you're using to access them. Please contact your internet hosting provider or IT responsible for first level support. Roundcube is not a service but free software which your hosting provider installed on their servers.

If you don't know who this might be please review your bills and see who you are paying for email or web hosting services.

I realize that the emails are not hosted by roundcube. Why is there a direct webmail login page?

I would rather use that process to access the email server of my hosting company. I just don't see why this page exists if I cannot access the roundcube through it from by hosting provider.

Do you understand what I am asking?
