Evaluation/Trial of "Spectrum SMF Writer' #30

Trial Installation of 'Spectrum SMF Writer' began on August 10. This entails product (1) installation into ATE and (2) creating JCL for different SMF type reporting. Item "1" is complete. Item "2" will continue through August 31, 2018. And by end of August a recommendation will be made regarding the product (to purchase or not purchase) for the z/Perf tower.

Need to get more detail from vendor. Tim will follow up with SMS. Could take 60-90 days.

Product evaluation by the performance tower is complete, and the recommendation is to acquire Spectrum SMF Writer which will give means to the z/performance tower to glean SMF field information from vaired SMF record types if SAS/MXG goes away.
