Refactoring of SPOD version of ethersheet persistence layer to solve performance problems. Right now the current version can not work with large data set (> 5000 records) resulting in user interface slowdown direclty proportional to the size of the dataset

This is a major issue.. that will probably be tackled in a future development of the project, but cannot be taken with the current resources
