Not seeing the conversion of README to markddown as a net win. The original README is an executable Ruby script with comments, which any Ruby programmer should be able to read. README.md is no longer an executable Ruby script, (although the comment still claims it is) slightly optimized for Github.
The new LICENSE file ignores some of the history of the code, as detailed at the top of fb.c, relegating NaCl Inc. and RIOS Corporation to "contributors." Although fb.c in its present form represents a substantial refactoring and reworking of interbase.c, with mostly new names, and although the test suite is wholly new, it's not clear to me that I have either the ethical or legal right to exclude them.
