Could you make the regional data masked for land available on a ftp server?
We have been asking each modelling group to split up the data into two files, namely winter (Feb., Mar., Apr.) and summer (Aug., Sep., Oct.).
For the 3D data, we have been asking the for upper 1000m (due to data storage constraints).
If the files are in netcdf format, having the grid spacings as coordinate metadata would be helpful.
Also, would you like to have access to the cloud-based Jupyterhub where we'll be performing the analyses?
I am interested to have an acces on the jupyterhub
I need to extract the data from the archive machine before putting them on our ftp server.
However, you can find the meshmask and bathymetry corresponding to the 4 boxes here:
ftp://ftp.mercator-ocean.fr/download/users/cbricaud/ORCA36-T404/SWOT-ADAC_ORCA36-T404_bathymetry.tar.gz

I just added you as a user. You should have access to: https://meom-ige.2i2c.cloud/
this is the bathymetry for each box
Brief hincast description:
ORCA36-T404 hindcast is based on the 1/36 grid-C tripolar ORCA grid.
The vertical grid has 75 vertical Z-level, with partial cell at the bottom ( ZPS coordinates).
It uses a non-linear free surface ( vertical grid sizes are not constant).
It is forced by the ECMWF IFS-3H dataset
There is an atmospheric pressure forcing , but there is no tidal forcing.
datased description:
The files are available on FTP:
ftp://ftp.mercator-ocean.fr/download/users/cbricaud/ORCA36-T404/
2 periods are provided: 20130801-20131031
and 20140201-20140430
All the 4 boxes are provided: Agulhas
, GulfStream
, MedSea
and MidAtl
Data re provided for the 2 frequencies: hourly (1hAV)
and daily (1dAV)
The files convention is: ORCA36-T404_FREQUENCY_PERIOD_GRID_BOX.nc.gz
2D hourly outputs content and variables names
gridT: SST (tos), SSH (sossheig)
gridU: sea surface zonal velocity (uos)
gridV: sea surface meridional velocity (vos)
2D daily outputs content and variables names:
gridT: Temperature (thetao), salinity (so) , e3t (vertical cells dimensions)
gridU: zonal velocity (uo)
gridV: meridional velocity (vo)
gridV: vertical velocity (wo)
Other:
Box bathymetry: ORCA36-T404_bathymetry.tar.gz
Box mask, grid sizes and coordinates: ORCA36-T404_meshmask.tar.gz
Some information on grid sizes and coordinates names are availble here ( see "native grid" and "ZPS vertical coordinates"):

@cbricaud Thank you very much for preparing the data. Could I ask you to host the raw netcdf files? Untarring and gunzipping the data significantly complicates the fluxing of data to the cloud from the ftp server...

@cbricaud Do you have updates on whether you could host the untarred and unzipped files on your ftp server until we flux the data to the cloud?
Hello ok, I will untar/unzip the files and put them on the FTP server. Regards, Clément

Thank you very much!
Hello The files are now unzipped, and available at the same path. Regards, Clément

it is a global 1/36 hincast. The configuration name is ORCA36.
It is based on NEMO 4 OGCM (https://www.nemo-ocean.eu/). It is forced by the ECMWF IFS dataset at 3h frequency. There is no tidal for forcing. The period simulated is 2012/10/01 to 2014/06/29. The ORCA36 grid is structured. The equation of state is eos80. The land masks and grid spacings are available.
Following your data request, I give detail on what is available:
hourly surface data of :
Temperature, Horizontal velocities (u,v), Sea-surface height are available. Salinity, Wind stress, Buoyancy forcings are not available.
daily 3D Temperature, Salinity,Three-dimensional velocities (u,v,w) are available.
The four regions are availble
