I have a template sensor with e.g.

platform: template sensors: name: friendly_name: 'Name' value_template: 'foo bar' icon_template: mdi:music

But the card does not show mdi:music, but the eye icon instead.

Any idea?

Ah, only new items are getting the changed) icons, Understood.
