i love the logonui but it would be nice if it had an option to change desktop environment :)

we also need tray icons so that we can change network from the tray and launch apps from tray etc

The tricky thing about that is that there was no UI for such a thing (that I'm aware of) on the original Welcome screen. Not sure how this would be implemented, though I do agree it makes sense to have. :thinking:

As far as tray icons go, there should be issues open already for that stuff like network and battery icons. Just needs someone (probably me) to get around to doing them.

Maybe it could be accessed through the blue question mark button?

I had a thought that maybe it should prompt on login, but that would be a bit crap. I dunno how often a person with multiple sessions available would want to switch. :thinking:
