Empty tap to close still doesn't work in 1.1 #256

Like the title says it's still broken. If you could please fix it that'd be awesome because I use to use it a ton back in the .7 and .8 versions

Still broken in 1.2 alpha 2.

This has been broken for since the 1.x releases. Even tried it on a freshly restored device with only proswitcher installed and it was still broken :/

I'm going to try it on my girlfriends 3gs that was recently restored and has no extensions installed; when I restored my device, I did not set it up as a new phone so maybe the problem I had before came back from the iTunes backup I had? I don't think it would since no Cydia stuff was brought in from that but I can't be sure.

I'll update here about wether it works on my girlfriends 3gs or not.

I'm on a 3gs on 3.1.3.

This works for me, you guys know what it does, right? You just tap the screen to make ProSwitcher go away when it is saying "No Running Apps"...

Ohhhh.

Sorry, I was under the complete impression that this feature was what the old ability to tap somewhere outside a card (around the border) and have proswitcher close.

The areas that i marked in white are where I used to be able to tap and have prowswitcher close.

Well then this makes sense now, if the intended action was this the whole time then I'm guessing the ability to close by tapping outside a card prior to 1.x was just a bug that you guys fixed.

Could we then request this as a feature? and if so, what to name it as to not confuse it with this?

I can see the case for making the area on the bottom doubling as close, but the areas to the left and right are for swapping between cards. The swipe down gesture is what I use to close.

yea, I actually only recently noticed that you can simply tap on the sides to switch cards; I'm just used to swiping so I forgot about that when suggesting to use it as a way to close.

As for swipe down to close, it too skips my mind most the time. I press home (actually 90% of the time I attempt to press one the "empty" areas first, you'd think I'd learn after a while) to close.

I'll have to try to remember the swipe to close method from now on :p

By the way, Proswitcher opens much faster now. It used to take half sec(on first initiation anyway), now it's instant every time. Great work guys.
