I have some notes in simplenote that include bits of HTML code. When going through the process, it seems like the code gets stripped, which sometimes makes the notes useless as the HTML might have been what I was wanting to have notes on.

A bit late, but in case someone is still interested, you could try if jimmy imports the HTML properly. Here are instructions to import from Simplenote: https://marph91.github.io/jimmy/formats/simplenote/.
