Convert to Typescript #14

Typescript would probably be preferred over Javascript if we can get it working seamlessly.

I've come to dislike TypeScript lately. Tends to have lots of small issues in large projects like this. Worth reconsidering down the line, perhaps, but for now this issue can be closed.
