@spanNOAA I successfully built the feature/MPAS-Model_v8.1 branch of the mpas-bundle here:

/scratch1/BMC/wrfruc/gge/RDASApp/mpas.build

The source codes are at: /scratch1/BMC/wrfruc/gge/RDASApp/mpas-bundle

Let me know if you need to modify any repo included in the mpas-bundle. I can copy them to github.com/rrfsx
